Rates & Payment Information
We believe that access to quality mental health care should be straightforward, respectful, and built on transparency — not confusion, limitations, or red tape. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about our session rates, insurance policies, and how we work with you to make therapy sustainable.

To give therapy the best possible start, the first three sessions are required to be scheduled week by week, back-to-back. This helps us build a strong relationship, establish some early relief, and get the process moving with momentum and clarity.
After those first three sessions — and if no safety concerns are present — you and your therapist will collaborate to find a rhythm that works best for you. Some clients continue with weekly sessions, while others move to bi-weekly or monthly check-ins as things stabilize.
Most clients engage in therapy for around 8–12 sessions, then shift into a maintenance phase for continued support and growth.

Insurance & Private Pay
-
We are considered out-of-network providers and do not bill insurance directly. This is a choice rooted in ethics, privacy, and the overall quality of care we believe our clients deserve.
Here’s why we don’t work directly with insurance companies:
Insurance companies require a medically substantiated mental health diagnosis for reimbursement — one that becomes part of your permanent health record. In many cases, this may not accurately reflect your experience or be clinically necessary.
Insurance can limit how often you’re allowed to be seen, or what kind of support is “covered.”
Reimbursement rates to therapists are often unsustainable, which impacts the quality and availability of care.
With private pay, your mental health records stay confidential and securely within our practice — not with third-party systems.
-
While we don’t bill insurance directly, we’re happy to provide a Superbill — a specialized invoice you can submit to your insurance provider for potential partial reimbursement.
This is often most effective if you’ve already met your deductible for the year. We recommend calling your insurance provider to ask about out-of-network mental health benefits.

We accept all major debit/credit cards and HSA/FSA cards for payment.
CARE FOR EVERYONE
Sliding Scale Options
Each of our clinicians holds two spots for clients who need financial flexibility. These are offered on a “pay what you can” or sliding scale basis.
If cost is a barrier, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re happy to talk through options and see if we currently have an opening available.
If you have any questions about payment, reimbursement, or therapist availability, feel free to contact us. We’re here to help make the process feel clear and supportive — every step of the way.
